Review Trust me by Fany Van Hemelen:
What a great courtroom thriller about an odd firm with special clients!

What a great next book in the Lies and Misdirection Series. At the law firm, where they only defend clients who they think are innocent, another case is showing up.

Gabriel Blackwell and Sandra Blake are a glamorous well-known couple. Then tragedy strikes and the perfect marriage soon isn’t so nice anymore. Gabriel is a woman player and when he is accused of killing the nurse who he was at fault with, the sky is turning from grey into black. After the dead of his wife, the case even got more dirtier and unexpected turns and twists do me guess at the ugly verity from the beginning of the book.

Besides the power woman Mary, who is still in charge of the attorneys, I got to know some new characters. Poppy is a lovely woman whose heart is in the right place and Martin is a bit unusual, but both players make the mix of personalities even more believable and intriguing.

Those series always is making you think what’s ethical and who is the real good guy. The question is, is Gabriel as a sex addict and narcissistic person a killer or is that a bridge too far away? Is he in some network and are they all guilty? Another way to see the things is what the firm does. Poppy and her colleagues are revealing the truth and it is indeed the question if the victims are really innocent.

I love this series books because they’re always a surprise to read and an intriguing puzzle. Another fact I love by this series are the special characters and their cases who are a treat for a crime lover.
